About myself

On June 19, 2002, my 4 year old daughter and me were brought down by a car. Remaining alive for 8 hours my daughter died of consequences of the accident. My legs were amputated above my knees.

Not through my fault I became an invalid and lost the most dearest – my daughter.

It was a long and tiresome wandering in hospitals without relatives’ support. And here I am at home in a wheelchair.

In 2004 they made artificial legs for me, but I walked not so long because my artificial leg broke. I am in the wheelchair again.

I am young, I am 32. I have the desire to live, to be useful for somebody, the most principal is that I want to walk very much. But it is the most terrible to realize that I can’t get artificial legs for the pension (286 hryvnas per month) that the state has apportioned to me. This is a very expensive “pleasure”.

I have faith that there will be people who will help me and will give me a chance for a normal life without a wheelchair.

I want very much to return to the normal life.

Sergey, 18 years

Sergey has lost his left hand in 14 years. It was an accident, Sergey was with the father on a field in the summer and lose his hand in a mower of a combine. As a result of it his hand was amputate.
Today Sergey need the artificial limb of the left hand.

Olga, 25 years.

Congenital deformation of both finitenesses, on the right leg there was no patella. In 9 years there was an amputation of the right leg. Despite of an amputation, Olga conducts an active way of life, and working nurse .Cheerful, active, kind, the optimist in a life Irrespective of circumstances.

Marina, 28 years.

Marina's two legs was amputated as a result of the disease of diabetes. After the amputation of both legs, Marina lost her eyesight. Despite all the troubles that she have suffered, she is very cheerful and debonair. She works at her home, she makes herself, cleans, washes clothes, cook a tasty meal. And she has a dream - to go again. I think that together with you we can help her get back on their feet.

Inna.

In 1993 she was waiting with her girlfriend on the side, and were hit by a car, a friend died and Inna amputated his left leg above the knee. Inna despite all the difficulties of life,is very kind and cheerful girl. We had the opportunity to share one day of her life and made photos and videos from the life of Ina.

Antonina.

Antonina was born without a left leg. In spite of the obstacles in her life, having the artificial leg and crutches, finished the University. Currently works as a programmer. She stopes at nothing and always goes to her goals.
